Poker Bid

Are you a poker disaster?

So you think you've become the greatest poker player ever? Or are you still on your way to becoming one? Some poker players instead of being an expert poker player turn out to be disasters. What makes one a poker disaster? You're a poker disaster when you are:

Ignorant. The more you think you know everything you need to learn about poker, the more you are ignorant about the game. You see, the time you declare that there is nothing more to learn is the time you block yourself from opportunities of learning. While you're so drunk with the idea of your greatness, other poker players are continuously learning the game. In time, they will be so much better than you are. It is impossible that you know everything about poker, because it is a game of situations, every situation presents new ideas.

Lacking in Bank Roll. You may win lots of money in several poker games, but you could easily lose all of them due to mismanagement. What's the good of being an expert poker player if you do not have the money to pay the buy-ins? To be able to prove that you really are a good poker player, you'll need to win more games, and to do that, of course you need money.

Too focused in reading books on poker. Certainly, you cannot be the best poker player or even a decent one if all you do is read books on poker. Bear in mind that others might have read the same books that you have, and you can easily be beaten. It is not to say that you should not read books, rather, what you need to do is to practice what you have read by actually playing the game. Poker is very different in theory and in practice.

Not able to control your emotions. When you are easily upset by a string of bad hands, then say goodbye to poker. Same with being overjoyed with having three good hand in a row. Get your head in the game.

Predictable. You are easy to beat when your opponents can easily guess what you are up to.

Proud. Even if you really are a good poker player, do not be conceited and think that you are the best. Other poker players will come and beat you, and you need to learn to accept defeat. Sometimes, pride can hurt more than anything else and even can lead you to your own doom.
